Traditional pub serving traditional beer and food, 7 hand-pulled ales, 2 types of lagers, selection of wines and spirits.
The Horse & Groom is a traditional pub with 4 separate drinking/dining areas:
- Bar with a large inglenook fireplace—great and comforting on those cold days,
- Red room which has an open fire,
- Green room used mostly for dining at lunchtimes and
- Snug an intimate and cosy room.
The Linby Tea Rooms and Restaurant are now open serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon teas.
There is also a function room/restaurant at the rear of the building available for up to 40 people (buffet or sit down meal).
Steak night on the 1st Saturday of the month £25 for 2 steaks and a bottle of wine.
Speciality nights periodically—curry night, fine dining, Italian night.
Quiz night every Thursday (not Red room). Winners will take away a gallon of beer—50p a team entry fee.
Children’s play area and very large enclosed beer garden.
Annual charity event usually held in July to help local charities.
Children are allowed in the Green room or restaurant when dining and also in Conservatory but when the sun shines there is loads of space outside for the kids.
Well behaved dogs are welcome in most of the pub areas (not Green room or Restaurant/function room).
If you are on a limited time for lunch, pre-orders are welcome and we will try our best to have everything ready for you on your arrival.
Walkers most welcome and again if you pre-order your meals before the walk we will get the food out to you nice and quick on your return.
